Singapore Changi Airport
Well it's 10.20pm and we've spent the last few hours at Singapore Airport. So what, you might think? Except for the fact we've not only found the free duty free drinks, but also the roof top bar, swimming pool and jacuzzi, just moments away from the runway!!!! Madness, just sitting in the jacuzzi watching planes taking off! Now, however, we're off for some more free Baileys! Mmmmmm.....

Singapore - Slings and High Tea!!!!
Ok, so we're not currently in Singapore but since we were there for just a few days we had better things to do than spend time on the internet!! Well Singapore was just amazingly clean and nice compared with Manila. Having said that, as soon as we arrived so did the rain so yet again we had to buy another umbrella!!
Luckily the rain didnt last too long. We spent the first day on a hop-on-hop-off bus which cost a whole pound for the day! We did the usual tours of Chinatown and little India (where incidentally we were staying!!) and then found a rest from the heat in one of the many huge shopping malls!!
On the second day we decided to take a trip to Singapore Zoo, which was mad. Most of the animals aren't kept in cages, but instead open in the zoo...except for things like the lions etc....but as soon as we walked in there were monkeys swinging in the trees above us!! Also next to the zoo is the worlds first night-time safari at a zoo. This was even more mad than the zoo during the day as we were wandering through not really knowing where we were...or indeed if we were in some animal enclosure!!!
In the evening we took a must-do trip to Raffles hotel for an extortionately priced Singapore Sling! Despite the price, it was pretty darn good! hic! In fact we liked it so much in the 5-star hotel that the next day we went back for some high tea and champagne! Not a particularly backpacker thing to do, but hey, we just couldn't resist!!!
On the final day we went to Sentosa island, just south of Singapore, where Singapore has it's own man-made beaches!! We took a stroll down the bridge that takes you to the most Southern point of Southeast Asia and then hopped on a bus to tour the island.
Later that day we made our way to the station for an overnight train to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia....
